Why does oxforddictionaries.com not use a comma after the abbreviations 'i.e.' and 'e.g.'? [duplicate]
The Oxford Manual of Style (section 5.3) states:
To avoid double punctuation, no comma follows i.e. and e.g. in OUP style.
