How can I play Indiana Jones: The Infernal Machine on Windows 8?

Solution 1:

You can just run an older version of windows on Virtual Box or VMWare Workstation. You can play it on the Virtual Machine

Solution 2:

For the sake of posterity, there is an unofficial installer for Windows 7+ and this file which I found on a forum. I just confirmed that running it from the installed folder makes the Jones3d.exe compatible with Windows 10.

Also, if that doesn't help and you don't have a legit license for an older version of Windows there are reports you can use Linux with Wine to play. And Linux can run in a virtual machine itself if you'd rather not use it as your general-purpose OS.
