How to pronounce GUID [closed]

Wikipedia's article aside, I think it is more common in the IT industry to hear GUID pronounced as:
GOO-id (/ˈguːɪd/)
with a hard G sound (at least in Australia, the UK and Canada).
Solution 2:
I go with the 1-syllable version (gwid) that rhymes with squid and liquid and that matches the pronunciation of "languid" http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/languid.
