Tools or scripts for tracking a stolen or lost Mac?
One of the more popular ones is Lojack, a pretty well-respected software program for both Mac and Windows.
Take a look at Undercover: it does all that you need, and more (simulating hardware failure, etc.).
Their recovery stories section is quite encouraging, too.
