Open link in new tab - Pop-up Blocked

Why does Chromium block Ctrl+Click any link on http://www.amd.com as if it were a pop-up?

Using: Chromium 44.0.2403.89 in Ubuntu 15.04 (no extensions)

Also, I noticed this on other pages as well (including some links on http://www.cnn.com).

Solution 1:

Per the same link you provided, this has already been recognized as an issue by the Chromium team and is under investigation.

The only likely fix until resolved by the Chromium developers is globally whitelisting *.amd.com in Chrome. To do this:

1. Click Manage Pop-up blocking... in Chrome's popup notification.
2. In the text entry field at the bottom of the window, type in *.amd.com and ensure the Behavior option is set to Allow.
