What is the best way to deal with the Borg?
Destroying distribution nodes will deactivate nearby Borg drones so that you don't have to waste energy on them. Drones will ignore you unless scripted to attack or if you attack them first, so don't draw aggro by shooting drones that aren't already attacking you.
