Solution 1:
Default sound drivers to original setup
- Run
sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-image-$(uname -r)
Setup surround
Edit alsa-base.conf with
gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.confAdd to bottom,
options snd-hda-intel model=autoRestart computer
Open the console and run
alsamixerand turn up audio on all and set channels to 6.
