Fill cell in table with line pattern
To use a hatch in Word.
- Select the cell(s) you want to change
- Right click and select
Boarders and Shading
- Click on the
Shading
tab - Under
Patterns
open theStyle
drop down and pick the hatch you want. The hatches are after the transparency settings. - In the
Apply To:
box selectCell
I use diagonal lines across the cell to indicate is was not used.
- Select the cell(s) you want to change
- Right click and select
Boarders and shading
- Change the
Apply to:
toCell
- Click the diagonal boarder button
- Click OK
Results in a diagonal line through the cell. You can change the type of line and pattern to your liking.
