Solution 1:
Besides turning VT on in BIOS, you need to perform a full power cycle - shut the host down completely, maybe even pull out the power cables and hold down the power button for a few seconds, and then start everything up again.
BTW, you might have missed it in bios, but you also want NX enabled, not just VT.
