Is there a way to make a win8.1 laptop NOT turn off the HDMI output video or sleep when closing the lid?
I had a similar problem in an old notebook years ago.
It only works when I pressed Windows + P and select the option Projector Only.
Still it blinked but stayed on.
This option can be found in the Advance Power Settings of Windows (Xp,7,...,8.1).
Further more can be changed in the specific Power Plan Settings Dialog:
In the "Power Options" Dialog you find options for defining what happens and what not happens when the lid will closed.
