Touchscreen support for Ubuntu in VirtualBox?

Solution 1:

i have a dell laptop and it presents the touchscreen as a usb device.

If you want the guest to use the touchscreen device you will need to pass it through to the guest and run the appropriate drivers in the guest.

In the case of ubuntu then xorg should pick it up.

You will need to configure your host os to ignore the touchscreen for this to work, they can't be shared.
