                        )
                        , 1
                        , 1
                        , '')

Solution 2:

DECLARE @result varchar(1000)

SELECT @result = ISNULL(@result, '') + StudentId + ',' FROM Student WHERE condition = xyz

select substring(@result, 0, len(@result) - 1) --trim extra "," at end
