Boot CD won't boot with a "x86-64 CPU,but only detected an i686 CPU" error
The error message is
This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU,but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.
How can I overcome this?
Solution 1:
You appear to have a 32 bit only cpu. Use the i386 cd instead.
