Word or phrase for when someone opens their arms wide proposing a hug
"Arms wide open" is a common phrase.
I believe I've misunderstood a person's physical expression, thinking it was more of a shrug than an invite for a hug, and I'd like to apologize for that.
Yes it is my own made up slang but I would call this process hug-baiting. And people would understand.
