How to make conky system monitor to work with transparency on Lubuntu 20.04?
Solution 1:
I originally installed conky
using Synaptic, then read advisories from all over none of which solved this, so I "shifted advice" and tinkered until I nailed it.
So,answering my own question, below is my working ~/.conkyrc
file (the local config file) if you are battling to do the same.
-- vim: ts=4 sw=4 noet ai cindent syntax=lua

MH: This WORKING FINALLY in elegant transparent mode on Lubuntu 20.04
(NB that 'own window colour' line is irrelevant now - but useful while debugging)
