What's the penalty for dying in Bioshock Infinite?

Solution 1:

The amount of money you lose when you die depends on the difficulty level.

• Easy: (Unknown)
• Medium: (Unknown)
• Hard: 50 Silver Eagles.
• 1999 Mode: 100 Silver Eagles.

In 1999 Mode, it's game over if you die with no money. You must reload the game from the most recent autosave.

On easier difficulties, if you can't pay the death penalty, you are simply resurrected normally.

Solution 2:

When you die, you lose some of the money that you have and any enemies that you were fighting at the time recover some of their health. This effect is more pronounced at higher difficulties.
