How do I disable screenshots with 'fn+s'
Solution 1:
Note, some keyboard, BIOS combinations actually send "Print Screen" when Fn+s is pushed.
- Settings
- Devices
- Keyboard
- Scroll Down to "Save a screenshot to Pictures"
- If it shows "Print", click it.
- Hit your Backspace Key to disable the function, or assign to another key.
- Click "Set"
- Verify it now shows Disabled.
- Exit settings

Solution 2:
I had the same problem with my new Lenovo ThinkPad cuz of the stupid Ctrl
and Fn
key swap. If you're having the same problem, maybe this Lenovo Guide could be helpful, which I didn't bother going through though.
I simply disabled the Fn+S
keyboard shortcut by disabling Save a screenshots of a window to Pictures in the Ubuntu keyboard shortcuts. Please refer the image below.
